About Us
The Police Association of Victoria is an organisation that represents the industrial, legal, professional, and welfare interests of its members.


The Police Association's membership of around 11,300 is drawn exclusively from sworn police officers at any rank, protective services officers, police reservists and police recruits who serve in the Victoria Police Force. Membership of the Association is voluntary.

Founded in 1917, the Association is affiliated with a number of industrial bodies, including the Police Federation of Australia, the Victorian Trades Hall Council and the Australian Council of Trade Unions. By virtue of its constitution, the Association is not affiliated with any political party.

The Association is a federally registered and recognised trade union.

This website is published to provide an information and communication service for members of The Police Association - Victoria and as a resource for the community at large who want to find out more about our organisation.
