As indicated in newsletter 93/05, members of the Police Association will have an opportunity to endorse or reject the 'in-principle' Common Law Deed of Agreement achieved after negotiations between the joint Emergency Service Unions and Government concluded.

Prior to this meeting, Association staff with ESSS representatives and superannuation lawyers will conduct a series of information session throughout the state to explain the proposed Deed of

Agreement and relevant legislative changes. Further, an information package that includes a copy of the Agreement will be mailed to our members prior to the meeting to ensure that there is adequate opportunity to view the agreement.

A General Meeting of emergency service workers is scheduled to take place on Wednesday the 16th November, 2005 at Victorian Trades Hall Council, Cnr Victoria and Lygon Streets Carlton South. The meeting will commence at 11.00am

This meeting is consistent with the emergency service unions' undertaking to ensure that any resolution to this dispute is fully endorsed by the membership at a General Meeting.
