Members may recall that The Police Association ("the Association") has engaged the University of South Australia to conduct a three year longitudinal study to measure stress suffered by members of the Victoria Police Force ("the Force") as a result of a lack of resources.
The first round of the survey was conducted in late 2004 and a preliminary report has been produced. The Association reported on these findings in Newsletter 54/05 in August 2005.
The second round of surveys has just been sent out to a sample of 3,202 members in general duties.
It is vitally important that if you receive a survey that you complete it, even if you did not complete a survey in 2004.
The data gained so far is extremely useful in the Association's ongoing campaign for a properly resourced Police Force for the community of Victoria.
