Leave loading in next pay

Under the Workplace Agreement, all Police Association members are entitled to recreational leave loading as a one-off payment. This year, the date on which members receive their payment has changed.

In the past, leave loading aligned with the calendar year and members received their payment on the 1st pay of February. As part of the Workplace Agreement 2007, this process has changed so that leave loading now aligns with the financial year.

This means that members will receive their full leave loading payment on the first pay of August 2008.

Being a transitional year for leave loading changes, members may remember receiving a leave loading payment in February. This was a pro-rate payment to accommodate the shift from calendar year to financial year. From now on, members can expect to receive their full, annual leave loading payment each August.

To check your leave loading entitlement, go to the Members Only section of our website, www.tpav.org.au and click on Industrial Relations > Your New EBA  > Salaries Allowances and Penalties.

For further enquiries about your annual leave loading payment, contact the Industrial Relations section of The Police Association.
