Your delegates to meet

Following the recent series of post-rally meetings, it is clear that members have had enough of the Chief Commissioner’s and Brumby Government’s failure to address key issues affecting police.

Now that members have had a chance to attend their local meeting and offer their views, it’s time to take the next step.

Your Executive has considered the resolutions carried at each of the 14 post-rally meetings that highlighted your concerns about a number of critical issues, including resources and the need for adequate safety equipment. The Police Association has now set a course for acting on these resolutions in the coming weeks.

The first step will be to meet with delegates and assistant delegates throughout next week. Members are encouraged to contact their local delegate with any feedback or concerns that can be addressed at these meetings.

The Police Association will then advise members what they can do to ensure that the concerns raised at Rod Laver and during the recent member meetings are addressed.

Together, we will ensure that the Chief Commissioner and Brumby Government can no longer ignore the collective voice of police.
