Today’s post-rally member meeting – Moonee Valley

The second of the Association’s post-rally meetings took place in Moonee Valley today. 100 members from the northern and western suburbs made the following resolutions to address resource shortages and to secure modern equipment for police members:

“That this meeting demand Force Command conduct an official independent audit on resources and resource allocation and if this audit is not conducted, then work bans be introduced by mid-July.”

“That this meeting demand Force Command commence to train and equip members with semi-automatics by 1 January 2009.”

“That this meeting demand Force Command supply all members with a non-lethal option of Tasers by 1 January 2009.”

The next Police Association post-rally meeting will be held on Tuesday, 10 June in Mildura.
