Your views wanted by the Herald Sun

The Herald Sun is inviting members to take part in a major survey that will allow you to share your views on the issues that affect you, your profession and the wider community.

Shortly, you will receive the March edition of The Police Association Journal. Attached to the Journal, you will notice an additional letter inviting members to participate in the Herald Sun survey. The letter will include a unique code allowing members to complete the short survey online.

The code is for the purposes of ensuring that each member completes the survey once only - the code is in no way linked to your identity. The Herald Sun will not have access to your address, telephone number or contact details so your anonymity is guaranteed.

The Victoria Police Force and The Police Association will not know which member said what as neither organisation will have access to the answers.  Your participation in this survey will not generate any return emails from the Herald Sun or any other organisation.

While the Association has granted permission for the Herald Sun to distribute this letter with our Journal, the survey is not a joint venture between the Herald Sun and The Police Association.

As such, The Police Association will not have access to the results as they will be analysed by an independent market research company and then published in the Herald Sun.

Nevertheless, The Police Association strongly encourages you to complete the survey and lend your voice to the issues that affect you.

We look forward to reading the results of the survey and gaining a better insight into how we can continue to effectively represent and promote our members’ views.
