EBA 2011 talks kick off (49/10)
17 December 2010EBA 2011 talks kick off
The Police Association officially commenced its EBA 2011 negotiations with the Victoria Police Force at a meeting held yesterday.
As expected in an initial meeting, discussions were preliminary in nature with both parties taking the opportunity to further explain and clarify their respective position to the other party.
The Police Association, which had lodged its Log of Claims on behalf of our members to the Victoria Police Force some weeks ago, took the opportunity at this meeting to answer questions from the Force about our claim.
Not unexpectedly, the Victoria Police Force has advised that it is still awaiting further advice from the new Government about the make up of its claim. Consequently, it is still yet to submit its claim to the Police Association.
Notwithstanding this development, the Police Association will continue to do everything possible to ensure that the progress of negotiations is not unduly delayed.
The parties will resume EBA 2011 negotiations in January 2011.
Final call for 2011 Association Desk Diaries
Due to strong member demand only a few copies of our 2011 Police Association Desk Diaries remain.
Members who haven't ordered a copy are invited to do so on a 'first come, first-served' basis by emailing their name, registered number, work location and DX number to general@tpav.org.au.
Given the limited number of copies available, we intend to give priority to those who have not previously lodged an order for a 2011 Desk Diary. This invitation will remain open until the final copy is claimed.
