Association disaffiliates from the Victorian Trades Hall Council (15/12)

The Executive of The Police Association met yesterday and, among the business it conducted, discussed the continuing affiliation of The Police Association with the Victorian Trades Hall Council (VTHC).

As a result of a divergence of views in recent years, it was determined by the Executive that The Police Association would disaffiliate with the Victorian Trades Hall Council, effective immediately, and that all members were to be advised before any media became aware of the position adopted yesterday.

The Executive believes that this is the best course for the Association and our members and, in communicating this decision to him in writing we have wished Mr Brian Boyd, Secretary of VTHC, all the best for the future.
