This review was commissioned by the Victorian Government in late 2009 to examine the state's existing anti-corruption bodies, including the Ombudsman, Office of Police Integrity and the Auditor General, to recommend any proposed changes for the government to consider.

The Proust Review concluded its work on Monday 31 May 2010, at which time it had handed its recommendations to Premier John Brumby. These recommendations are yet to be made public. The Premier announced his response to the Proust review and its recommendations on Wednesday 2 June 2010.
